Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine

The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine is integral to the excellent care of the obstetrical patients at UMDNJ-SOM. High risk obstetrical services are provided by our three perinatologists, Joseph Bottalico, DO, Peter Konchak, DO and George Davis, DO. Our specialists perform these services within three hospital systems including Kennedy Health System, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, and South Jersey Medical Center, all of which provide state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The MFM faculty, through fetal monitoring, ultrasonic scanning, amniocentesis, and counseling, provide service for obstetrical patients with a wide variety of high risk obstetric disorders including diabetes in pregnancy, hypertension, multiple gestation, genetic abnormalities, blood disorders, and recurrent pregnancy loss.

Dr. Joseph Bottalico and Dr. Peter Konchak were listed in Philadelphia Magazine's "Top Docs"—recognizing them as leaders in the provision of care in their specialty.
